Default UP FOR A GROUP RIDE?

OK, fellow S2000 owners (and guests):

I raised the specter of a group ride, so it's been suggested to me that I just start a thread and try and get one going. Apparently rides up to Leavenworth have been a favorite of this group. So, here's my proposal:

WHEN: Sunday, May 30, 2010 10:00 a.m. to meet

WHERE: Parking lot of Central Market, Mill Creek

TO: Leavenworth via US Hwy 2 (when we get there, we can figure out where we want to gather for lunch).

Bad weather cancels ride (pray for top down weather).

Friends and guests welcome (since S2000's can only fit two each, that kind of limits number of guests).

Please respond with your interest (you plan on coming), so I can gauge interest and approximate number of S2000's heading to Leavenworth.

Also, please share any ideas or suggestions for this trip.

Hope to see you on May 30th!

Rick Hornung, owner of the "Share the Road" S2000.

I'd be up for it, but I'll be driving up from down south, and won't be back til that evening. Maybe next time.

I would be down to go! Are you opposed to other types of cars tagging along because my buddy in his MR2 and some Civics and Rsx's might wanna go to?

lets plan this better so the whole group can join.

We normally do a drive and overnight stay at leavenworth once a year in the summer anyway.

I'm down for Leavenworth this Summer/Fall!

Rdizzle - I think we usually take the twisties instead of the direct route, depending on the time 'n such?

ALFYonso planned a drive last year!

As to whether "other's may join (like owners of MR2's and whatever), as far as I'm concerned, the more the merrier. I have no problems with it.

With regards to "better planning this," I realize this is a rather ad hoc, quick notice, Sunday ride. Not everyone can do overnights, especially on a Sunday evening. I thought it would be fun for a group, small or big, of S2000 owners to get together and do a group ride. I know I would enjoy it. I heard that Leavenworth is a favorite of the group--it certainly is a beautiful drive up Stevens Pass on US 2. If you can make it, wonderful. If not, hopefully next time. It's kind of a play-it-by-ear ride, just to meet some fellow owners, drive a bunch of S2000's (and possibly other sports convertibles) in a group for a nice Sunday drive. Right now it's meet at 10:00 at Central Market, Mill Creek. Some time shortly after that we'll head to Leavenworth. Well have lunch up there somewhere, hang out, get to know each other, and then head back home. I'm not sure what more planning needs to be done, other than an overnight trip, which sounds fun and I hope someone does plan that for a future date.

Anyway, I hope as many owners can take part in this as possible.

Rick Hornung

P.S. Remember, bad weather cancels!
