Which means Jerry, RT, and Tedster are the only ones here who aren't poseurs and turn quick lap times.
You missed quite a few, actually.

That is an understatement for sure. The majority are within a few seconds of each other.

Steve, great advice. But is it considered polite to imply the guy might be a poseur?
I didn't call anyone a poser in my reply, nor did I intend to imply that anyone was. My impression is that a lot of people are under the mistaken impression that high-end coilovers (I hate that term) are required to lower a car, or that installing them will magically improve a car's handling. In my opinion, neither is the case. This is the point I was trying to convey in my response, without making value judgments on the intended application.

Steve

P.S. - Why does the reply form show posts from ignored users?

I was kidding. I know you didn't do anything as rude as call anyone a poseur. It was more like you were taking a shot at "tuner" silliness in general, something I happen to also think is silly.

Agreed. Among other things, our cars already have "coilovers". The springs and the dampers just aren't adjustable, that's all.

Yeah Toda coilovers are $3600 a bit pricey i would say, but what im asking is it worth the money. Or would it be better to buy beilstein shocks with stiff spring set-up. I want to stiffen my ride and increase better handling. I think my stock suspension is a bit soft.

Oh and no im not a poser if you thought so. I used to street race with my bike and with my two other cars i used to own. I had 96 M3 E36 and 95 RX-7. With both cars i had a friend of mine put in all the stuff who had better knowledge with cars than i did. In this case im asking those who have had made modifications as to which way is better.

I'll start coming to these track meets once my condition gets better. And ill show you guys what this young pup can do.....

Ok, in all seriousness now, those two statements contradict each other. Bring your car out to a track day or an autocross and you'll soon come to agree.
