WHH rules!
After putting up with a 6th gear grind for 8 months, I finally was able to part with the S long enough to get it fixed. (While I was in HI- nowhere near the Lig-meister, Mom)
Well, after a few days of trying it out, I can report that it now shifts great in all gears. No more grinding at all. The synchros are very stiff right now, but settling in. The repair bill said they replaced a mess o parts, including several other synchros that were damaged. All the other gears felt fine to me, except 6th. I am truly pleased with the work they did. Anyone else in Kitsap County needing service done to their S- West Hills Honda is da shiz. (or is that the bling bling?) I better go sit down before I hurt myself...

Glad to hear you're happy with the results, but I'm not sure replacing the synchros is worthy of "shiz" status.
And just because it's fixed now doesn't mean it's not going to show itself again down the road.

I had my synchros replaced along with the 3-4 gears due to a 3-4 gear grind that occurs at 9K RPM+.
The synchros did not show any wear whatsover in the 20K+ miles I put on the car and I don't exactly baby the car on the streets. They did it out of goodwill, because Honda told them to, who cares.
So I'm not of the S2000-tranny-needs-a-lot-of-TLC crowd either.
It's actually a beautiful thing!
