I'd consider if the shop bitch was your better half and she did it w/o clothes on her top half
You are willing to settle for only the top half?

A half dozen donuts would work even better...

maybe I need to ........ what do those things cost?
My $.02
1. It is kind of a pain to install. Nothing difficult but long and not fun.
2. From what I've heard, many people have trouble with the intake manifold bolts loosening up which is probably due to creep which will happen to all plastics under continuous load and probably exagerated with thermal cycling. Lock Tite/ lock washers probably won't help because the gasket is actually compressing over time.
3. The gasket is ~.100" thicker than the stock steel gasket which alters the injector spray trajectory - don't know if this is worse for power but I imagine the injectors position was optimised pretty well from the factory.
4. I bypassed my T-Body and IACV which accounted for a 20 degree (F) drop in intake temps measured by OBD-II intake air temperature sensor. I think that accounts for the majority of the gains produced by the gasket without all the downsides. Plus, the gasket blocks the coolant port going to the T-Body which could trap coolant in the head and cause boiling/steam pockets.

BTW, I experimented with using a stock stainless steel intake manifold gasket that had a ceramic thermal barrier coating applied. Made no difference to intake temps.
My recommendation would be to bypass the T-Body and IACV which is really easy and cheap and spend the remaining 3 hours playing with your kid.

it's legit ........"back in the day" me and Jim Hill had a valve set-up all laid out to make it selectable in case you were headed to the witches tit but never did it due to .......... having kids and random other semi-smarts choices being made (or not made), not having a brass bra ............... what?

Jared, any problems with icing in semi-cold moistish (western Washington) type weather?

do a search Mike, it's got to be in the FAQ's somewhere ........... it seemed like it was every other thread at some point in time, along with Fuel Pressure Regulators

I did look, but found nothing. Didn't use the search engine, though. From what you say here it sounds like you are diverting either coolant or oil away from the throttle body?
