Thumbs down Adobe Lightroom users

I just received my adobe lightroom for mac.
I installed it on the macbook pro and downloaded the latest lightroom update for leopard.

with very first download from my CF card via firewire 800 cf reader I noticed something that wasn't normal. after i ejected the CF card some of the pictures were corrupting in front of my eyes.
this was happening with Lightroom open, and bottom thumbnails showing all the pics that has been downloaded. one by one some of the thumbnails were turning purple, blue and pink..some as stripes.

so i thought maybe there was a problem during download so i deleted the corrupt files from lightroom (as well as off the disk) and downloaded the same files again. the thumbnails were fine for about 10 minutes and while I was test driving the DEVELOP section, i noticed some of the pictures on in the bottome thumbnail turning purple, blue, green and pink again. this time the files were different.

I would contact adobe's technical support but its the weekend and they are open only on weekdays.

any of you lightroom users experience this?????

this is a serious problem...lightroom corrupting your images after initial download.

Only time I've seen this, the problem pointed to the memory card and the images were corrupted on the camera as well. If you manually copy the files to your hard drive and then import them from the current location, does it occur?

no i have not tried that yet. but I've never had this problem before on PC... with same CF card or reader.

I've downloaded the same files from the CF card to PC via Nikon Picture Project downloader and no problem.

I really think its the adobe Lightroom that is corrupting the files.

I have never had this issue with LR. I suggest you re-install LR.
