Bought a T3i / 600D
After 4 years of wanting a DSLR, and many hours trying to decide which I wanted - I decided to take the plunge ahead of my trip to LA / Vegas / HK / Bangkok and Vietnam and bought a 600D with the 18-55 kit lens.
I haven't had an SLR since I messed about with a 1980's Pentax about ten years ago
Looking forward to not having to rely on the iPhone for my picture taking needs!
S2K comes out of winter hibernation in May so I'll hopefully be able to get some shots of her, too! I'm off to work my way through various threads on here to get up to speed..

T3i is a great camera. I have a T2i, and it has some heat issues that I hear the T3i has resolved when doing videos (the flip screen probably helps keep the heat away from the main body).

I've got the T3i - along with the Magic Lantern firmware - it's a great camera. I'd personally recommend the Tamron 28-75 f2.8 for a great, affordable walk around lens to pair with it.
