Default Canon 10-22 ef-s lens test pictures

Well I got a chance to test it out. Lighting was bad, but I think the lens is a winner. I don't feel that it distorts too bad. It picks up light and color well. It is more than wide enough for most situations. At 22mm it would be a nice walk around lense for open shots, but it too wide as a 1 lens carry. I feel that it stays sharp enough around the edges @10mm. The lens feels solid, but not as solid as "L" lens. (not as heavy).

Over all I am please with this lens. What to get outside is good light to test more.

Canon XTi
Canon 10-22 ef-s
ISO 100 (outdoors) 400 (indoors)
f3.5 or f5.6
shutter speed vary

The rest are random 10mm shots....

I was thinking about getting this lens. It's either this or the Sigma 10-20. Have you considered the Sigma? If so, what made you choose the Canon over the Sigma?

D200 is a 1.5x crop, the entry level Canons are 1.6x so there is a slight difference but not much. Canon's autofocus is much quieter, faster, and more accurate the Sigma, too. Too bad it's an EF-S lens.
