Default Help with camera and crutches

I have recently been sick and I am now stuck using crutches 100% of the time. I am having a heck of a time figuring how to carry my camera without it bouncing on my crutches (which is what happens with a regular neck strap).
Any kind of solution would be appreciated as long as it makes sense.

Anyone have any experience with this, or have a strap solution that would work? All I seem to find online are the usual hand straps (not a good solution when both hands are on the crutches) or neck straps (I generally bounce my camera and lens off the crutches when I walk) neither are good solutions.

I am hoping someone has come across this problem and has a good solution.

The (potn) optech neck strap is made out of stretchy neoprene and adjustable. Think that if you kept it around your neck it would move with your body, or you could wear it backwards, but you may choke yourself depending on the lens

-or-

Get a small bag and attach it to one of your crutches.

Thinking more about this, what about camera armor? That way your body and lenses are protected from the occasional clunk against the crutch.

Found an item that might work. It is called a Suspender Harness Strap. Op/tech and Nikon both make one that is generally used for binoculars but should work with a camera.

The idea on bag on crutch might also work. I have several smaller bags that might work. Will try them out.

Thanks

try a small messenger bag to carry the camera. Swing it around over your back when you hobble along and bring it around in front to grab the camera for use. Many even have a strap to keep the bag tight to your body, going around the chest/waist area.

I don't who makes it, and will find out tomorrow at work. A friend there has a harness, similar to the one SSSNakeSSS linked to, however, its more of a neoprene case, with an opening in the front for the lens to slide through.

It has 4 connectors as well, so it doesn't bounce around much like a regular strap.
