Personally I don't have one, but that's a cost thing for me. I have a couple of magic arms, just can't justfiy buying the poles and the cups for the dedicated purpose of the auto rig.

I think when I get a few more paying gigs doing this stuff, I'll think about it.

I've built a few of these things, it is a bit more tricky than it looks. But it was still pretty straight forward, just be sure to use quality equipment the first time around as TYC has done here.

I personally dont own one, because I dont care for that type of stuff. But paying customers do...and thats making me second guess myself.

I've wanted to do one for a while, but I don't have anywhere to store it in my 800 sq ft home...

I usually just have the driver drive it. But from now on, if I can notice any vibration on the pole, I'm going to have him turn off the engine and I'm going to push it. I learned my lesson with this last photoshoot with a Supercharged Corvette C6.
Give it a try... you only need to move the car a few feet at a slow enough shutter. You'll be suprised with how much sharper the images are.

Thanks for the suggestions, but I've done it before. So I know what pushing it will do. Shooting mid day I'd just rather not put over 1 sec shutter on it that's all. That'll blow out the sky easily. Plus pushing will not create enough motion blur under 1 sec.

Thanks for the tip BLK N WHT.

Just start the car get it rolling and shut the motor off, that eliminates the motor vibration. Also if you want the rolling car shot sans driver just position the rig low enough where the driver can duck during the shot.

Darn it
I might even have to get out there and do some rollin shots you got the bug in my ear now

I have the gear sans a wireless remote for my camera Ill pick one up and give it a go soon.

Try an ND filter? That'll get your shutter speeds slowed down without worry.
