I converted an old Canon G1, that I bought from ebay for about $50, a few years ago. Cheap relatively east conversion. The quality of the camera and materials isn't all that great by today's standards, but it was fun to play with. I couldn't go too big on the pics either as the camera is only 3.3 mega pixels to begin with, and IR tends to have more noise, so it is probably good to start with better equipment.

that's true... I have looked at only the IR pix posted in this thread and have not looked anywhere else at IR pix, already find few of them (NOT all) look almost like normal B&W... but it would still be fun to convert an absolutely spare body for IR

^ oh its always fun to have an IR camera in the bag. I just would not sink a lot of dough into one.
