Default Looking for a Camera Bag

Recently, i went on a trip and had a laptop and my camera bag. i'm not in the market for a new bag.

I was either consider getting a camera bag that can accommodate a 17" laptop that also has space for 3-4 long lenses, or maybe i should just have a separate backpack for my laptop and another backpack for the camera?

I'm heading to NYC this weekend, and if i had my laptop/camera bag, it would be a huge thing to carry, whereas a smaller sling camera bag would be fine...

or is this entire post just useless without pictures?

laptop camera bag

or....

and don't worry about the laptop?

How about the Tamrac Adventure 9? It's carry-on size & fits a 17" notebook.

I am also in the market for a new camera bag which also holds my laptop. I am looking for the smallest bag out there that can hold about 2-3 lenses along with my macbook pro. Any other suggestions?

I wish they would show the inside of these - it would give more confidence in buying.

I'm after a new bag. It must fit my 30D, and 3 lenses (17-85, 10-22 and 50-500) Maybe the 15" Powerbook too.

The adventure 9 is a nice bag and I may think of getting one.

If you can find one, the Burton AK-29L is a sweet backpack. Hell, if you find one, pick me one up too! I'll pay you + give you a $20 finders fee!

Another thing about backpacks and NYC. There are quite a few places that do not allow backpacks. Just make sure you check first before going. I wouldnt want you to check your bag with all your gear at the door.

Sorry for digging this thread back from the past...

I'm in the market for a new camera bag..I actually have the Burton AK29 bag but it doesn't fit my camera and battery grip together.. Also, that bag is great, but has only a very narrow area to put things such as a laptop in.

So.. I'm looking for something similar to that bag..

Essentially, something I can travel with when I go out of town and travel with...and must be able to be considered carry-on luggage.

If youre into a backpack style bag, check out the Tamrac Adventure 9. I've gone through a lot of bags and the first one I purchased and still have today is the Adventure 9. When I get home I'll check to see if my camera + grip fits inside.

My current bag is a combination of two bags. The Crumpler Horseman messenger/laptop bag and the Crumpler 17" insert. This bag is big enough to fit a widescreen laptop, and with the insert it swallows my 5Dm2 + grip + lenses perfectly. And the best part is that it doesnt look like a camera bag at all. I moved up from the 6MDH to the 7MDH to this as I kept outgrowing those.

My other favorite bag is the Domke F2 because it's very light and simple to carry around. Padding isnt all that great, but ample enough for everyday use. You will not be able to fit a laptop in this bag though.

I also have Lowepro Stealth Reporter D650 monster bag. I swear I can fit my kid into this bag. It's HUGE and though you may be able to carry it on with you on the plane, it may be overkill. I use this to hold all my kit and flashes. It also fits a 17" laptop in there too.

OH, and if you ever want to sell the AK or trade for the Tamrac AND Lowepro let me know - I'll take it off your hands

Isn't a Burton Ak29 a duffle bag?

What about this one? It doesn't say if this is ok to bring as a carryon though.
