Default Need photoshop help

I want to Powdercoat my wheels and my two most desired colors are matte/ flat black or mag blue but want a little help with a visual on the mag blue colors
so can someone photoshop one of these please...








And as always i apologize to the owners of these cars I need them as an example, but i will take them down if them want me to just PM me...

1) lasso the wheel

2) control J on a pc, command J on a mac (this copies the lasso'd wheel onto a new layer)

3) pick a foreground colour; press D for default, and then click on the black square on the left hand side; choose your colour

4) shift f5 for fill; choose foreground colour.

voila. instant colour change to whatever you want.

Wouldn't you just get a solid color circle if you do that? You'd need to change the layer style from Normal to Color.

I'd give it a try if I was at home.
