You need to download Adobe Camera Raw. ACR 3.7 supports the 5D.

I've also discovered that if you install another Adobe or certain Macromedia products after you've installed CS2, you will have to reinstall your RAW plug-in. There is literature about it on Adobe's website, but you have to search for it. I just reinstalled Premiere and learned this the hard way

Have you installed anything new since you installed Photoshop CS2?

Not sure what the issue is, but photoshop should recognize the files. If you just want to view the RAW files as thumbnails and open to view (just like jpeg's), go to microsoft.com and type "RAW thumbnail" into the search box. Once the new page opens, download the RAW Image Viewer. It looks and works the same way as opening a folder with jpeg files. That way you can sort through the junk faster.

, and i also found what else was/is wrong. When you download the RAW plug-in at adobe.com, it's not compatible with any version before CS2. I didnt even realize that i had been using Photoshop CS. A friend of mine gave me CS2, but the data1 file was bad, and i never installed it and just kept using my CS. Now i wish i had fixed it
