Thanks! Yeah, I thought it was pretty crazy too....but I figured if I'm not using the camera to take the shots I want, its almost as worthless as smashing it on the road at 45mph, lol

Besides, I'm sure any carnage would have made for a great story to send to Canon along with a mangled camera.

Hah. I can imagine you sending them a smashed camera saying "I have no idea how this happened!" forgetting there is a card left in there with that picture on it.
