Weekend get away
A bunch of our friends got together and spent last weekend at Desert Canyon Golf Resort in eastern Washington.
We stayed in some condos there and had a great time.
I took a few pics.

Huge par 4. I nuked a drive there on Friday and hit 4-iron to 2-feet for the tap in birdy.
430EX on the hotshoe to light the foreground on this shot.
View of the Columbia River from the green of a huge par-5
Taken at a roadside viewpoint near Levenworth, WA. on Friday. I climbed down a bit further than they probably want you to.

The 500 yard par 4, please tell me that's downhill. Otherwise that's just meanspirited for the average golfer. We have a hole that's 485, but uphill, and in 6 years I've personally seen in birdied twice. Just a bitch of a golf hole
I really like the picture where you used flash to accentuate the foreground. I'm going to have to steal that move this winter, I really liked the photo.
How many people did you have? Gauging by the alcohol levels, I'm thinking a bakers dozen, or 2 of my old fraternity brothers.

Yeah.. it is a bit downhill, but it's still pretty darn long. You can see, the 2nd shot is all carry. A year ago I hit 5-wood into the wind to about 3-feet and tapped that one in too. I like the hole actually.

More people have figured out the High Pass + layer stacking for sharpening with high contrast technique. There's also the slight lomo effect. I like it
I can see the differences in technique between the different shooters in the this forum - I can tell whose photo is whose. It is pretty cool to watch everyone growing! It would be interesting to do comparisons on where a few of us were when this forum started and where we are today.

Nice pics and beautiful surroundings! That tree is the same one you posted in the B&W thread, right? I like it.
