Default '04 and '05 owners help.

Any owners of AP2 have a service manual (Helm)? I'd like to know how the grill is held into the front bumper.

Don't have the manual, but the grill seems to be held in place by a bunch of thin plastic nipples that stick out of the bumper... the grill seems to just snap into place on those (they run all around the perimeter of the radiator opening in the bumper... I can't see anything else under there that it attaches to

Thanks Dylan. I never got any hardware with the grill, but there are a couple of holes that look like a screw or two might go in there. Of course, like you said, there are bunches of those little plastic nipples, too.

Got my '04 bumper back from the painter yesterday. Just giving it a bit more cure time and my vacation to put it all on. Since I didn't elect to go with the '04 splash undertray and got the "special" clips instead, it's going to be a bit of a jig saw puzzle. I love an adventure.

should be interesting! I think there are two 10 mm bolts as well, they were way up under the top right and top left corners of the grill... but those may have been for something else.

I'll take a closer look tonight and see if there is anything else I can point out to you

Would you happen to have a digital camera small enough you can slip it through the grill and take a picture looking out? It would have to be able to do a "macro".

Mine does macro, might be small enough too. I'll try when I get home tonight!

Thanks, bud. Don't bust an arm trying. Although a pic will be useful, I'll figure it out eventually.

Lots of nipples.
I even pinched them to make sure they were firm.

Sorry Dave, I got caught up with some stuff tonight. I'll get pics for you tomorrow. You're not doing the install quite yet, right?

No hurry. I'll just play with the nipples for a while.
