It would be great to have you and JP in Solo 1....

In looking at the Elda bar, I wonder why they did not use tubular steel for the harness bar...

Brent was showing me shots last night of the joint he made for the harness bar on his 911...it looks like the same joint would work on the Elda bar, and would allow the use of round tubing. Of course it would require welding on the new joints and giving the whole bar a new powder coat...it would look much better and might be a little stronger, but I'm not sure it would be worth the hassle. I haven't got any response to my emails to Elda, so I'm going to give them a call today.

There's real danger in JP running Solo...chances are good he'll kick my butt, and the illusion that kids have that their dad's are invincible will be completely gone! Luckily, I can't fit in the seat of his shifter kart, so I'll never have to suffer that particular humiliation...

Well, sooner or later we have to cede to the next generation...
If there is any consolation, I've heard that JP is a very talented driver...He must get that from his Dad...
