Default Advan Neova AD07

I'm trying to find the absolute best dry-grip summer tire available for our car (street tires only).

From what I've been finding it looks like the Advan AD07 is the "best of the best" (for tires that come in our sizing anyway). My question is if anyone knows of a tire that is "better?"

The best sizing seems to be 225/45/17 & 255/40/17, throwing out the speedo by about 1.3% (reading slower... 60 mph would be 60.8).

Price-wise they're coming in at $15 more per tire over the OEM RE-050. ($177 & $215 USD vs. $165 & $200 USD - tirerack)

Any other tires I should consider?

Michelin PS2's, they are also supposed to be great in the rain too.

I have the Michelin PS2's - I figure if they are good enough for the Porsche GT2 and the Mercedes SLR, they'll be fine on the S2K.

I generally don't have any Brand favorite but since Bridgstone and Michelin are heavily involved with F1, these are good tire companies to start with. I personally will be trying a different company as each set of wears out.

Good luck in your search!

The PS2 was another good tire for sure. From what I've been reading though, the Advan seems to be a bit stickier, if marginally

Do take a look at the Goodrich G-Force KDW. I think "bigstar" just got a set of these.

Indeed. 1 week of driving on them so far and I'm loving it. I really haven't had much experience with different tires, but I can safely say I don't think you'd be disappointed with them.
