I don't think we'll see an Evo X in '07 just for the simple reason that the evo IX just came out in Japan...

as for the Subaru, it's quite possible that it might look that way... they have some other new vehicle that looks like it

This topic will be of some interest to you guys. I know of at least 4 people now that originally had an S2000, purchased an STi, then went back to an S2000.

member "crockey" also went to an STi and then back to an S2000... here is his sig

"01' Black S2000 (trade for 02')-my first wife
02' Black S2000 (trade for STI)-my second wife
04' Black Subaru STI (sold)-some slut not worth the $
04' Black S2000 (current)-the one I want to grow old with"

I'm not bashing the STi, but I think its not fair to compare it to the S2000.

It'd be worth buying if you just had to have 4 doors and a turbo.

Dylan, I think it is fair to compare the two...I'm looking for a winter/family car that will give me the same "feel" as the S2000...the STi is the closest thing that I have driven....the ride is stiff, it handles like it is on rails, and it goes like stink...sounds like an S2000 to me!

It definitely doesn't "sound" like an S2K.

And you left out the summer comparisons.

I thought it sounded kinda cool....not as loud as my S2000 but I don't have a stock exhaust either...a different exhaust might solve that (if it was important). It will never have the v-tec sound...but how many cars do. I have been looking for a winter/family car (ie more than two seats) that has similar driving characteristics to the S...the STi is the closest one I have found yet.

Heh... My roommate, a former S2000 owner is selling his '04 STi... It really really astounds me what that car can do once you're used to it. It truly seems to have some sort of exemption to the laws of physics. Anyway, if you know anyone who is interested in a well cared for (but enthusiastically driven) STi, please let me know. There are a few minor upgrades. If it sells, maybe he'll stop borrowing my Hachi-roku!!!

So this isn't a replacement for your S2000, correct? If so, then sure, the STi is a hell of a car.

Wasn't sure if it was meant to be a replacement for the S2000 or not

Hell no...there aren't many cars that could replace my S2000. I've promised it to my son when he gets older (and he's only 9).
