I've been blessed with a day off, so I'm heading there bright and early tommorrow.

Hopefully it wont be too busy so I can buzz around collecting brochures I'm never going to look at ever again, in addition to kicking little kids out of the driver seat of each and every vehicle just so I can have a turn

I was planning to come down on Sunday, but Mike Holmes is gonna be at the home show here in Red Deer, so I promised my step dad I'd go with to meet him!

Mike Holmes rocks.

Just came back from it. Make sure you go into the Corral. That's where Weissack (from Vancouver) brought all their big buck cars (and an Elise). Interestingly enough, I felt that Ford had brought the best collection of cars (concepts and high perf.).
I think our next new car will be the Honda Fit. But I still love the Mini.

Hey Dave, I must have missed you...I just got back as well.

Pretty good show. Some nice concept cars. I usually don't spend much time in the domestics' area but it seems that they are making some nicer looking cars these days. Not sure if I could bring myself to buy one yet.

I didn't see a Z06 there. I really scratch my head when the manufacturers don't bring there best products to the Calgary show...is there a hotter car market in Canada right now?

Hehe, Harv, we could walked right past each other and never knew it. I was concentrating too much on the cars.
I agree, this year's show was much more enjoyable than those of years past. Till now, the car show has been a bit of "ho-hum" to me.
Nope, no Z06, but what the heck. I got to drive Mike's some weeks ago, so I'm good. But notice the price on the vert Vette? $70,000.00.
I'm an old Mustang guy from way back. I liked the Mustang GT500. Not a bad price but I'm just not in the market for a gas sucking pig right now. And the other gas sucking pig (Ford GT) makes the first one look like a fuel miser.
If only we didn't have 2 perfectly good cars already, we'd have a Fit and a Mini sitting in the garage.
Calgary not only has the hottest house market but one of the hottest car markets, too. I guess not all car manufacturers think the same.

what are peoples' thoughts on the Buick convertible concept car? I thought that it looked quite nice...and it had usable back seats.

Peter & I went last night as well. So lots of people we knew but missed all the S2Ki guys.

Did you notice how many new BIG vehicles there were? The new Benz SUV, a new Toyota SUV...they are all huge monsters that are going to hog the road even more.

As for the second vehicle...Susan just bought a new black Mini Cooper a couple of weeks ago. I must say it looks pretty good beside the black S. Amazing how many features you get for a decent price. Driving my S in the winter sure makes me wish I had heated seats like the Mini. A very nice thing to have.
