I'd try it with just the envelopes, but using the envelope as a "packing slip" for a larger package is probably too suspicious,

Hmm...certainly a novel idea. That said, I don't surprisingly recieve a lot of junk/spam mail in hard-copy format.

Now if only we could do something about my darn inbox...

Gmail is the best solution for this one.

I've been using it since they introduced it in 2004, and I've never received a single piece of spam in my inbox.

It's still "beta" but if anyone needs an invite, I can send one

HEhehehe, that's funny. Actually, I had the same idea for getting rid of computer junk. Dell has a Purolator account number that they freely hand out to anyone who asks to return stuff to their depot in Toronto. We've often thought of packing up some old monitors that we wanted to get rid of and sending them to Dell. Can you imagine the confusion when the return department opens the box and finds some old junk Compaq monitor in there?

I've already been stuffing "postage paid" envelopes with all sorts of junk mail (pizza, realestate, etc.) and sending it back to whoever sent them. My favourite are those dating service surveys.
Now, I think I'll try to send a small box full of junk mail to someone. "Small" meaning something that will easily fit into a mail box, then work my way BIGGER.
