Can you do this with Canada Post?

Dave, you gotta post if it works!
Let's see, I think I have one of those old 1975 Sony Beta VCR machines that weigh about 40 lbs. ...............................................
I just looked on the Canada Post website. The max weight is 66 lbs for a personal parcel. To send a 66 lb. box would cost the spammer 25 bucks plus GST.
I phoned the Shoppers DrugMart near me and asked if they would accept a box with such an envelope taped to it. He said no. Those envelopes will only be accepted as a letter, so I guess I'll just have to continue stuffing them with pizza flyers.
BTW, the guy did have a good laugh about it and thought it would be a really neat idea, but officially, he couldn't accept it.
PS. I am waiting for a response from Canada Post for their official decision on this.

Provided it fits inside one of the red postal drop boxes, you should be good to go. No point in standing in line at the postal outlet.
If Canada Post doesn't want to charge the spammer, then they're stuck dealing with your burnt toaster or old VCR (provided you can get them to fit inside the box)

That's hilarious....it's close to what I do when I receive telemarketers phoning at dinnertime. I say to them "How about you give me your phone number and I will call you at an inconvient time and see how you like it?" I haven't used it lots because people don't usually get it.
Nice find!
Nice find!
Got a reply back from Canada Post by email. A generic form letter telling me to go look at their website.
I'm going to pack all my flyers into a box that will still fit into a mailbox and send it off. I'll probably stuff an old shoe in there as well.

Came across this today... maybe worth a shot

Top right corner is a link to submit your info online.
edit- you can't block non-addressed junk mail, but you can block regular junk mail with your address/name on it. They'll also block calls and faxes from members of their organization.
