I have had the Xpel kit on my car for over 2 years now. It's (not Xpel specifically) a great product, a really good mod and good investment for our cars. Several Calgary owners have their cars protected in this fashion.
Prices vary, so do your homework. I purchased the kit for approx. $300.00 and did the installation myself. It can be tricky so don't risk it unless you have some experience in this sort of thing.
Additionally, I have covered my headlights with a 40 mil film and have also used the 8 mil stuff on portions of my rocker panels.

Anyone know of a place in Edmonton that does the 3M for a reasonable price?

Any chance of discoloration in the future? I even heard reports of the headlights pitting and cracking cuz of the film

Seks. The Ming shop just north of Grant MacEwan can install the 3M just about anywhere you want. Reasonable is a relative term - you define it! The cheapest is the do it yourself provided the job is good otherwise get it done right the first time.

I did my headlights as well - worth it IMHO when you consider the cost of headlights. No discolouring in over a year so far.
