Yep, came back and started a job in September....and then got laid off in December (Petro-Canada oil sands - Fort Hills). So I'm just doing some consulting on my own right now - construction/engineering - civil engineering projects and more ... looking for more.

Yeah....figures I come back here and it is the worst winter I have ever seen in Calgary! LOL

No place is perfect, of course and that goes for SoCal too. It was a great 2+ year "holiday"!

How about a high performance driving school?

Currently I am working with SoloPro Driving Schools arranging schools in Canada (I'm in Calgary btw).

For more information, here's the web site:

www.soloprodrivingschool.com

S2000's as you know, can be tricky to drive at the limits and what could be better than getting some seat time in a safe and non-competitive environment with US National Champion autocrossers helping you along? You can learn an incredible amount about high-performance driving over a weekend that I guarantee you will never learn on the street.

Then, all seriousness aside, it is a bunch of fun to boot!

Reijo
If there is a possibility of an S2000 specific (and dare I mention it, s2ki exclusive) track/instruction day, I think that would be great. I've done one of the Evo schools, and a few other performance driving schools and events (ice race school, Higgins family rally school in Wales), but having instruction with someone intimately familiar with the car's characteristics would be great. From my perspective though, cost and location would be factors to consider.

We have had a few s2000 meets here in Calgary. But normally it's only the usual 5 s2k guys that show up. At the beginning of last years spring season we actually had a pretty good turn out including Murray Peterson.
Usually the dc5ab.com meets have the biggest s2k turnouts for a alberta wide meet.

If Reijo is one of the instructor, then you have an S2000 owner doing the teaching. Even if other types of cars are there, who really cares?

Well, I am trying to get "the group" out for autocross this spring. I really believe that they would enjoy the experience.
