Smile Crappy Tire Noma Lights

I bought a set of 70 LED noma lights 2 months ago. They are the white ones. Cost more to for some reason. I put them on the roof of my arbour. Looked cool, until half the string went out. The bulbs can't be changed I don't think, and what the hell do I do with half a string now. ticks me off. Can't see any damage to the wiring. What would cause half the string to go out.

Take 'em back. Crappy Tire might just replace them.

Led's are fragile and when dropped they can break very easily. When i was working up at the mine i went through a LED flashlight every two days since they break so dam easily, good thing they were free though.

Although everything at crappy tire seems to fall aparrt on me, like the water pump i replaced on my 4runner which i bought from ct had to be replaced again 6 months later at my expense. Candian tire=subpar shit.

You could have a break in the wire where it stops working. This could be the wire in the cord or if it's wired up in series, it could be one blown bulb. Since you don't have anything to lose, see if the bulb is the type that pulls straight out. Try it with the very end one that doesn't work.
Besides these things, it's not really worth it to take it apart to far. You may be hooped.

It's too bad that you don't have the receipt or anything anymore... I know LED lights from crappy tire have a lifetime warranty, since the bulbs themselves will never wear out unless abused

LEDs are damn near indestructible -- it's the wiring or the LED mounts that are problematic.

It's probably a single LED that's been broken off of the wire somehow. Find the first LED on the string that doesn't light up, chop open the wire and resolder the LED to the wire there. Tape it up, and the whole string should work again.

If I were you, I'd try to exchange it without a receipt anyways. I've made warranty claims there tons of times without a receipt.

Suggestion: (if they're still available)
Buy the same product from them.
Return the busted product with the same recpt and box you have from the new one.

It's not like you're cheating or anything.
