Default Dealer: Spark Plug Recall (TSB)

Guys, has anyone talked to their dealer and have them confirm that they will be doing this or have the parts in. We should go to the same place or something. I'll call T&T Honda again today to see if they have got the info from Canada Honda. Last week they had no clue and I don't think we should take that "we do it if it has symptoms" blah, that would be too late. Raise hell folks, our S are perfect, and we don't need a grenaded F20C.

I called T&T Honda and they just got the note. They are ordering the part and mine is scheduled to go in on the 29th. You guys should give them a call and book the appointments too.

Seks, it applies to all S2Ks.

Will do. Thanks.
Do you know if you have to let them do it, or can we do it ourselves?

I think they need to do it. There are a couple other little things they need to check as a part of the TSB.

If you call, ask for Mark Brascht or something like that, very good guy.

Who knows when or if we will get a letter. The dealers should slow hear about it, just give them a call. Most will have to order the parts in.

Come on, admit it! You guys just want a set of free plugs, don't ya?
For me, I'm not really too concerned about this whole TSB thing. I've checked my plugs frequently and am confident that I keep them torqued to a safe tightness. (Just between you and me - I'm gonna get Iridium plugs! )
I'm just chuckling to myself that Honda has finally come out and admitted to a "boo-boo". You know how some people throw the phrase at you, "Do what the owner's manual says. Honda builds F1 engines. They should know what they're talking about." I'm just wondering how many other little stickers they're going to come up with to "hide" what they "know" in the manual.
Please guys, DON'T go throwing all your owner's manuals away because of me. I'm just feeling "frisky".
