Can't you guys who decide not to do this get the kit for future use?

If you decide to not take the car back to the dealer for this "recall", you need to get your plugs checked and torqued to the new spec.

No dealer for any kind of TSB or recall for any kind of car will just give you the parts. Warranty requires that they put the parts in. I'd love to just get the parts and keep them for future use but this isn't going to happen and I'm not going to leave my car at any dealer for something this simple. Not worth the risk to have something else happen to the car.

Sounds like someone was telling you an untruth. The bulletin, if one reads is seems to suggest that the plugs have a different part number from NGK. It is rare for a company to change part numbers without changing the part...

Maybe he knows something that I don't? What at T&T was it that you were talking to?

Just as an aside, I won't be taking my car back to the dealer for the TSB. Will see if they can supply me with the plugs, and I will install/torque accordingly them myself.

Xviper I know you said to take this with a grain of salt but I think your source is wrong.
