Default Dropping outside temps causing starting problems?

(Maybe I shoulda put this in "Under The Hood" but it might be more applicable to us locals for now.)

The last week or so, the temp has gotten quite low over night. On those mornings after a night shift when the temp has been between 5 and 7 degrees, I made an interesting observation.
This first time, it was about 7*C. When I cranked the engine, it fired up immediately but did not want to idle. It would "lope" along kinda half trying to spin up and half trying to die. This continued for about 10 seconds and then it caught, then all was normal. The second time was the next morning, about the same temp, same thing. This morning was the third time, temp was 5*C. THIS TIME, it fired up perfectly normal in every way. IT LEARNED!

This has been reported several times before on this board and I'm happy to say that it's just one of those quirks that show up once in a while. DO NOT try to fight this "loping". Just let it do it's thing (unless it actually stalls, then restart and let it do its thing again). It seems to learn after a couple of episodes.

HEY, did anybody see that FOG bank this morning? The whole river valley and then some was engulfed in a huge cloud!

Quit your compaining. In Boston, it's been from 90 to 102 (farenheit) with oppressively high humidity and unsafe air quality for over a week now.

I would love some cool weather.

Gimme the HEAT! How quickly some folks seem to forget just how long and cold the winters can be.
I'd rather sweat than shiver in our igloos.
