Default Long startup after stall?

Second time it's happened... once when I spun out at autocross and stalled it, 2nd time was just one of those times when you just aren't paying enough attention to your feet and just stall.

At Autocross it took a long time to start up, probably a good 7-8sec to start up... and this recent time like 3-4sec... Is there possibly a problem with my car or am I just being too nit-picky??

Thanks,
[DRIV300]

ive noticed the same thing after a bad stall...like spinning out, or just plain forgetting. I dont think its just your car.

I think heatsoak has something to do with it. You might notice your car takes a long time to startup when you're running short errands too. The engine itself is still hot, so it takes longer to startup. There's probably a technical reason behind this that I can't explain .. but I know in my experience all cars I've driven have had trouble starting when they're still hot. 7-8 seconds sounds a little excessive but 3-4 seconds doesn't sound out of the ordinary.
