As mentioned, I'm not certain of the value of these - so I'll start with xviper's suggested asking price of $400.
Shipping should be relatively cheap - I'll double check with UPS today - but I would think around $50 for the set to Toronto.

ws2000, can you measure the % of tread remaining?
Xviper, is there a proper way to doing this?
One more thing, if you can't see the wear bars yet, that's a good sign! haha

What I suggest is for ws to take a digital photo of each tire, focussing in on the middle of the tread with a coin stuck in the tread. This will show you how much is actually being talked about and will give you a solid idea of what is really left. If it should come to pass that both of you agree to go ahead with the transaction, I will offer myself as a "go between" since I have met ws and since Max lives in Calgary. I would receive the tires and arrange for Max to inspect them. After Max gives me the money in whatever form you guys decide, I will give him the tires and send the money to ws. My fee is a beer next time we meet. How's that?
If you decide to ship by Greyhound, I'll even go pick them up at the depot. It's not that far from where I live. I've received stuff like this before many times and it works really well. That way, if I'm not home, they won't take them away and they won't just leave them sitting on my doorstep to get stolen. (Purolator will also work as their depot is not far from me either.)

Heck of a deal for a beer...
Like WS said.. I can give the tires a thumbs up or down.. of course... WS is honest, and if things went ahead and they didn't work out, I have connections He may never walk again or drive the S again. oohhh scarey eh!!
what about take the tire or tires to a tireshop and have them measure the depth. I had that done before on a set of tires.
I am jsut full of ideas..

I will try my best to make it to a tire shop tomorrow to have the thread depth measured
Failing that I'll shoot a pic of some coins in the tread.
