Hahaha, I don't really mind the flaming, really, I was expecting it.
But, I just don't like how all over the forums, like beyond, Jeff is a negative contribution. That's all.

EDIT: Also, the heritage and prestige of a Honda has been brought down because I didn't want to scratch my lip? I guess everyone who tapes up their front ends is a ricer destroying the heritage of the S2K right?

You're kidding right? The difference is that yellow one is a "laugh with" joke and yours is a "laugh at" joke.

Come on, man up and go take that garbage off your otherwise beautiful car. Stop wasting time arguing with me like teenage brat. I've got nothing against you, you asked for feedback, even negative comments, so here they are. Don't fight the truth man.

All in good spirits here, I agree with Jeff. I happen to think it's nuts to spend a crapload of money on parts for your car that require you to do things like mask the front end to continue using it as you need to. I suspect that bumper is not appropriate for you.

After putting a lip on the front of mine and experiencing that 90%+ of driveways in Calgary are too aggressively angled, I know I wouldn't want the front any lower than it is already.

Take the tape off or go buy some hard plastic furniture sliders and stick them along the bottom of the bumper to avoid the scrapes. I've used them under furniture legs and feet to allow sliding around carpets. They come in loonie-sized discs or couple inch long narrow strips. Home depot or Rona has em, no doubt.

Fair enough dude, I did put this up for input to see whether I should keep on or take off the tape. I guess am I just blinded by my perception that my car is a bit more "protected". Tape coming off tonight.

Thanks for everyone's input.

Pre judging? Dude you are putting masking tape on a $55,000 car!!! That says it all.

The S2000 heritage, prestige, and respect, has been brought down a notch by this thread.
I was in Niagara Falls and Toronto over the weekend. While in Toronto I saw an AP2
s2000 (yellow) and I waved at the driver . He just gave me a dagger look
and didn't even acknowledge or nodded back.
I'm guessing it was because I was in a rental mini-van

Or is it because he was driving a $55,000 car?

FYI, S2000s are dime a dozen here in California. It has the heritage and respect alright
but I don't think it has the prestige.

back on topic.
OP:
It's your car and you have all the freedom in the world to do whatever you want
done to it.

Understanding one's desire to protect or at least help protect a vehicle that he or she obviously does respect should go a long way.

As an S2000 community we should all help each other with ways to accomplish our goals.

If the S2000 is 55K now adays, I seriously consider all options of cars out there. High end is a little overboard. It's a nice car and fun but I wouldn't consider it high end.

Does that mean my BMW is high end? because of the name, I am sure it must be

I would love to have the value of our cars to be up there to try and stop the civic kids, but honda chose to up the original marketing hype of 5000 units per year to... 12 000 or more or whatever it is today.

I dunno, maybe tape is not the best solution, but kudos for caring about your car. If more people cared then maybe the over all value of the car may be better, and some good condition one's might be easier found.

Just my opinion!
