Hi Guys,

I may be relocating to Edmonton in the next month. I have never visited Edmonton and was hoping those of you who live or have visited the city could provide me with a bit of background on the City.

How is the nightlife? Weather in the winter? Winter months? Is it S2K friendly as I would be bringing up my car as well.
Also, how much is rent for bachlor's pad in a condo?
I know these questions are vague but any help would be greatly appreciated. Any other insight/advice is also welcomed.

Thanks!

Hey Simon,

Maybe...not quite sure. Waiting for 2 more job oppts to show there colors (Montreal, Wisconsin)...and I'll take it from there. For now, Edmonton is most promising.

Anyone out there that can help answer some of my questions???

Thanks!

Edmonchuck is 300 klicks to the north of us. Their winters are COLD and LONG, much more so than here because they don't get "chinooks". The late fall and spring can be like a mud bowl on the streets because the "thaw" takes so long to get over with. It can be a depressing place. You WILL need snow tires and a block heater.
But yes, they do have that "mall"!

Hopefully, Seks and a few others up yonder will post and tell you how it really is!

It's very cold here. As for night life, depends on what you like to do. You know us... "Edmonton, where the night life doesn't stop 'till the sun goes down."

Lemme know when you're going to be in town, maybe we'll be able to meet & go do something.
