Default HID DRL's/Brights

Hey, i am purchasing a H1 HID kit and was wondering with our DRL's, would thsi still function the same as orginal? Would i have to disconnect my DRL's? Or would they just be the same amount of the light the whole time?

The DRL circuit operates the highbeam at reduced voltage. As long as this is enough voltage to ignite the lights in the kit, then it should work. Does the kit use ballasts? Can you put up a link or post some pics to show what they look like and how they are designed?

AFAIK, its the full kit and i got a killer deal on it from the rsx board.

Ill post pics when i get it, and the full install. I was j/w if the DRL used a resistor pack to acheive the low setting, which now i know it does(thanks Xviper).

Not sure if there is enough voltage to run them now on the DRL setting, but i will have to try it out first. I may have to rewire the coil pack so there is sufficient voltage to run both settings(or just run them on highs).
Got the kit, hooked one side up... Works fine, plug the next one in blows the fuses.

The kit is pulling too much current from the sytem, going to have to put a relay in the system to get around this.
