Default I need help and info on shipping from USA

Anyone with info on this:

Yeah, I'm the guy who's trying to get this tranny from Hecash.

The trucking company is saying I need a commercial something or other. I was hoping that since this was a private sale of a used transmission, that it wouldn't be so complicated. Shipping costs from FedEx is very prohibitive and that's why the trucking company (much cheaper).

Please post in that thread if you have anything to add that might help us finalize this transaction.

Thanks.

(I'll bump this for a couple of days to keep it visible.)

I'm stumped on that commercial invoice aspect. We do business with a metal headboard manufacturer in Los Angeles named Wesley Allen and I've never had the bill of lading come with any sort of commercial invoice. Infact none of our shipments (including domestic) ever have invoices attached (at least not with the cost of the product).

There has to be a way around that. They should have to fill out a bill of lading with the approx. dimensions and/or weight of the merchandise, and that's about it. At the border the trucking company should clear the merchandise through customs and then bill you at a later date

Are they US based or Cdn? Do they offer a brokerage service?

Not at all. I currently have 4.44 gears and I've always thought that the new 4.56 gears from Rick's would be just ideal. Then Hecash had his misfortune and his AP2 tranny became available. I'm planning on doing a clutch job in the next few months and what better time to put in a new tranny than at that time.
The AP2 tranny, coupled with my 4.44 gears and 9K redline and a supercharger would be a great combination. This would effectively give me the equivalent of 4.6 final drive in the first 4 gears while still maintaining a reasonable highway cruising rpm. The best of all worlds.
