Pics of the car. thanks for everyone's Help.
this is the DMV. I hate it.
Waited for an extremely long time for this:
This is the alberta version, I got this before I left
This is the form that the US border guys asks you to fax back to them.
This is the car in california.
This the cop that pulled me over in Nevada. Damn it! The one and only highway patrol that I saw!
This is the car at a rest stop

hey man
did you fax the bill of sale/title before you left for cali? Or can you just fax the sheet and show them the bill of sale/title at the border?
also did you buy the car then drive it to a DMV for the intransit sticker? how much is this? what did they need from you? title, billof sale, insurance, license, birth certificate?
thanks,
about to do the same to get an s2000 in a coupel weeks!

Hockeyfan - I faxed the bill of sale and title along with that sheet when I was in down there after I purchased the car (they need 72 hours, that was the first thing they asked me - "has it been 72 hrs yet?"). you can fax it in while you're still in canada but that would mean the seller would have to write you the bill of sale prior to you getting down there.
at the DMV you will need insurance (got this from canada before I left), title, bill of sale, and drivers license for them to give you the one trip permit. it's good all the way to the border. The on trip permit was $15.
I was lucky that I photocopied the bank draft and brought it along, they were a little more easy going when they knew I wans't lying about the price.
