Question about Speeding Ticket
Does anyone know the consequences of not paying a ticket if you're out of country? ie. getting a speeding ticket in Nevada and you're from.... say... Calgary?
Hhehehhehe, I used to travel with this sales man all over the US selling million dollar software systems. He had a list of states that he wouldn't drive the rental cars in (I did a lot of the driving in New Mexico and Colorado). While we were in Kansas, I got to see him add that state to the list. 25+ mph over the limit on the way to the airport. Right after the cop let us go, he pretty much tore up the ticket right there and we went home. Some day I'm sure this'll all come back to get him.
My father's best friend would never pay speeding tickets in the US. One day he and his whole family fly to the US on vacation. He gets arrested at customs for unpaid tickets! When they scanned his passport, the damn tickets showed up! That put a slight damper on the start of the vacation!
So, if you plan to never travel in the US (or maybe just that state) again, sure, throw it away. Otherwise, be careful if your name ever gets run through a computer. Bring lots of cash!
Chris.

Don't do the crime if you can't do the time!
The way things are south of the 49th these days I think that it would be insane to be a foreigner on the wrong side of the law. Who knows, some day they pick you up, can't find a judge to deal with you right away and throw you in a cell overnight (Not to mention being Bubba's girlfriend for the for a few hours).
I'd pay the ticket.
