Definitely interesting. And now with a good promoter, it could be great.

prices are considerably lower, they will have a low cost GA ticket for sunday, and they are planning multiple cross promotions around the city

I'm keen to go this year again! But probably just for Friday and/or Saturday. Call me weird, but that way I can see the cars in action, check out the paddock, but skip the Sunday crowd. Depends on how much a full 3-day pass will cost though.

Makes no sense.

I just hate being stuck in the middle of the huge throng on the grandstand, no room to move about, sun baking down...yuck. On the other days, you can sit almost anywhere, relax some more, move around. Honestly, I've fallen asleep watching the race because of the heat! You get to see more of the race on TV anyway. But actually I very rarely watch American open wheel racing, haven't watched it regularly since the CART days in the mid to late '90s. The past times I went to the race in town, I really just went to see and hear the cars. Hearing the old Minardi 2 seat F1 car was amazing.

F1's a different story. When I get around to the Canadian GP, I will stick around for all three days for sure. I got to watch Monaco '97 (and it rained) and Spa '02 (we stood at the bus stop chicane surrounded by drunken Germans). Schumi won both times. Bleah.
