Default joke of the day

Paul Martin was out touring the nation drumming up votes, meeting people and happened to be in central Alberta. He meet the chief from the local band and promised great things to him and his people. The chief in return gave Paul the name "Walking Eagle." Paul was very impressed with the name that was bestoyed upon him and promised even more to the chief. After Paul and his entourage left, one of the tribe members asked the chief why he had given Paul that name. The chief turned and said " He is so full of crap that he can't fly"

hahaha.

Am I the only person that's extremely upset that we don't have a single person running that deserves to be our next prime minister?

Good thing that I'm in mexico when it comes time to vote...

At the risk of turning this (funny by the way) joke into a serious matter, I believe that as citizens, it is our civic duty to vote. Canadian turn-out statistics are appaulling.

Isn't it ironic how the Iraqis, despite the threat of death and torture they face are turning out in groves to cast their votes. Democracy as a novel concept is gaining a footing in a war torn nation such as Iraq, whereas Canadians who, enjoying one of the safest, most peaceful nations in the world, choose not to come out and have their say, albeit a small one.

Just my 2c...which I happen to share with my good pal Dave Rutherford

I completely agree with you, Asif. The problem I have is that there isn't a single person running that I believe deserves my vote. I don't see much point going in there and writing down my own name

I can honestly say that I agree with you. Only one way to fix that Dylan...start running yourself! Heck, I'll help you pummel those campaign signs into the frozen earth myself if you like!

Maybe another way to look at it is that this nations citizens are fed up with false promises so why vote? I think whoever is the most visual to the masses wins. People plunk the X for who they remember. The people are speaking by their actions! I have always wondered what other nations would think if they observed how our great leaders debate issues in parliament. Once in parliament down east i believe that people with good intentions will be corrupted by the system. I wonder how many have had campaign support with future requirements!
I'm fed up. How am i going to change the system? I can't remember when the people asked for an election as opposed to when it is was convienent for the party in power.

It was my intentions that by starting this thread that people would post a joke that they would like to share with others. Good to come to this site and take things on the lighter side once in awhile. I enjoy a good laugh
