Default Kyoto Accord...

What do u think it'll do to gas prices and will it have any effect on insurance?

Ive heard that gas prices are just gonna sky rocket if this thing goes through ....which really doesnt make any sense right NOW, even....just because we produce oil here in this rich province of ours and we pay practically the same price anywhere in teh country!

Anyways, Im just thinking of what it'll do to filling up the gas tank in the S.....sure its a 2.0L, but keep it up in VTEC for any good amount of time and you'll see your tank drop one or two ticks just by putting on 40kms on it! ugh! It already COSTS ~$35-40 to fill it up to the brim

Most economists agree (there's a first!) that ratification of the Kyoto Accord would have a devastating effect on our overall economy - particularly in the west.

BTW, how do you get that much gas in your S? I've never gotten close to $40 in my tank. Last time I filled up, I put in 40.768 litres @ $.771/litre = $31.43 Isn't the fuel tank capacity about 44 litres?

LET'S SEPARATE! Those eastern bums and creaps ( j/k - an old "Klein" line) need our money and oil more than we need their grief.
Remember the NEP?

Well, if thats the case....I hope we seperate then! Seems like we always have to cater to the EASTS needs and wants! Maybe its time they cater to ours alittle bit more!

Woodson, I had like zero ticks left in my tank (i know thats bad) and i swear, i got over 35 bucks worth of gas in there....maybe your not accounting for taxes? Its incl. in the price isnt it? So i dont know...*shrug*

BTW, the Amercians arent implementing the accord...we get all their pollution anyways.....just ask the guys down in the east...hahahaha....

And whats one of the effects of this accord? to reduce greenhouse gasses? Wth, I happen to LIKE it being warm in winter and not as cold! Im all for the green house gasses! lol...jk

But, at the UofA, I learned that the ozone breaking down is a natural occurance, albeit rare....its happened in the past where there WERE no pollutants in the air (except for maybe dino farts..lol).....and what happend after it broke down? It regenerated itself anyways!.....

Anyways, sorry bout that little run-on.....I kinda hate having to look forward to paying more for everything, gas, goods, etc etc....as Woodson said, "...the Kyoto Accord would have a devastating effect on our overall economy"

Most of the people who debate this topic really have no clue what it is all about. Similarly it is like when people put down our cars for having no torque and need to drive it like you stole it lines since they have never driven one.

All I'll say is there will be another economy that will rise to take on the challenge if ratified. Does anyone remember the int'l agreements that banned or reduced CFCs greatly. Well the Ozone hole is shrinking now and will disappear in the next few years so these things do work. As much as I like the idea of warm weather, global warming isn't good.
