Default Looking for a Good Steakhouse

Hey guys,

I just arrived in Calgary with the S (driving from Toronto to Vancouver) and want to meet up with my cousin at a good steakhouse tonight. Can anyone recommend one in the downtown core? And not too fancy please, I only brought jeans . I'm just looking for a place to get some really good Alberta beef.

Thanks!

Kevin

I realize this was a post yesterday, but anyway...
Jeans seem to be acceptable attire in basically restaurant in Calgary as long as they aren't ripped. If you really look like crap, wear a flames jersey and you can seriously go ANYWHERE!

Chophouse is good but pretty expensive, not really sure if I feel that it warrants the cost. Don't get me wrong, good food, atmosphere, and service but expect to pay upwards of $100/person if you have a glass or two of wine and a decent cut of meat. Anyone with decent cooking skills could make equivalent at home if you have good meat.

Hope ya had a good time in town!

Thanks guys. I ended up going to the Saltlik. Wasn't overly impressed, but the place was nice. I realized after I posted that jeans seem to be fine everywhere here. I'm just used to people dressing up in Toronto

Was my first time in Calgary and it really is a great city. The fireworks were pretty good, too. Now I'm in Banff continuing to head west.
