Default My car got rust

So today was the first time I put the top down after god knows how long. After putting the top down, I walk around the car and guess what I see...?

I'm sure you guys can figure it out from the picture of where the rust is. It seems like a chunk of the foam got sliced out, exposing the metal to the elements???

I did a search on the forum board here but it doesn't seem like I could find someone who has a similar issue as me.

Don't supposed there's some kind of a TSB? The right side is fine though (foam still intact)

You should still be under warranty. Have you shown this to your Honda dealer ?

If you're still under warranty, have them look at it. However, it may not be sufficient for them to actually do anything about it. Rust warranty is a funny thing. You almost have to have a complete rust through of a specific size before anything will be done.
Mine shows metal but the paint is in tact - no rust. It may just be surface, superficial rust. Can it be wiped off? If so, clean it off well with a non-metallic scrubbing pad, dry it, and put a bit of touch up paint on it.

I can just use water with the pad?

Someone suggested using sand paper but i think that may be a bit too much
Try that and see how well it comes off. Sandpaper is only if it doesn't come off. It that's the case, you've got some work ahead of you. ...................................... Sand it down, clean it up, dry it off, primer it, paint it.

Consider using some rust remover from your local hardware store. It will dissolve the rust, leaving you with a relatively clean surface. A little sanding in trouble areas might still be your best insurance against the problem recurring. Paint and pray.

I used a 150 sandpaper, and sand down that little area. Then I use some anti-rust stuff on it. I didn't put any primer or anything on it. Should be OK?
