Default my2006

a coworker was watching the "speedvision" channel this past weekend and said there was a segment on the s2000. showing some brief history, production run numbers for the years and that the my2006 was going to be the last year. did any of you watch this to confirm? maybe "calgarian" can shed some light.

Calgarian has already posted that it was his information also that indicated the upcoming demise of the S2000.
As far as I'm concerned, I'll believe it when it happens. "Reliable" sources have been predicting the "last year" for this car since the first year it was out. There's just been too many "Chicken Little" stories for this sort of thing to be believed. I'll wait and see.

I'm with X, we can speculate till our faces turn blue, but in the end, the only ones who know are the Honda Gods/Goddesses in Japan

Auto-journalists might be the LAST kinds of people you want to believe in. How many times have they tested a car and deemed it to be the "best"? Yet, the consumer gets the same car and 6 months down the road, he discoveres that it's not the best afterall when the thing is in the service dept every other month. (This comes from personal experience.)
Sometimes, I think that car manufacturers purposely feed journalists with garbage and misleading information just to throw them off tract. It is my belief that such "real" information would be a closely guarded secret and not likely to find it's way to the press in any accurate form. The press can often times be maggots for information. What better way to keep maggots at bay than to feed them a bit of crap.

i consider that pretty devalued and pathetic..

i guess that person 3 years ago was right in saying " .. simon , it's just a honda.. "

for some of us it is more about having a great car than having a status symbol.
