Need a beater for daily duty
I am looking to purchase a "beater" so to speak. I would like a four door manual car (would consider an auto) like an older Civic/Corolla/Sentra/Accord/Camry, etc. I just need a reliable daily driver to get me through the next 1.5-2 years when the next generation WRX STi is due. I do not want to spend more than $3K if at all possible. Please let me know if you have any leads on a suitable car.
Brady,
A thought...my fiancee has had her 94 Civic parked at my house for a few months now. She inherited a newer Civic from her father and wants to get rid of her old one. Its a 94, 230,000KM, but it is an automatic. I threw it in the Auto Trader this week for $4350.

Looks to be decent Asif. What happened to the B pillar garnish on the rear passenger door ? I would certainly prefer a manual car but would drive an automatic (it is not long term). The main thing for me is finding a car for under $3K however.
Me thinks it broke off during an attempted break-in, but my fiancee knows of no such incident. I didn't notice any damage in the surrounding area, so am at a loss as to what happened?
Its a piece that can be picked up from pick-your part for $10 or so.
Good luck on your quest. I'll keep my eyes peeled for something in your price range.
