Need help: Fraud
Things have come up. Unfortunately, it is not looking good for me nor the other people on Ebay that have bought from Mr. Lai. To Mr. Lai, if you are reading this . . . you are going to get caught. I promise you this. You either return my money (as well as everyone elses) or you will be put in jail and face a legal lawsuit.

To S2SaV,
I checked this guys feedback and found one item that he sold that was worth around $3000. The buyer had only one positive feedback. When I checked further, I see that he actually had 2 positives and one negative. The negative transaction may lead somewhere. The buyer that seems supicious here is:
supercoupe84
I have seen this type of thing before; a new seller uses other log in names, or buddies log in names to build his feedback rating. He shows that he sells a couple of high priced items and then dupes some other poor guy.
If I were you, I would have Ebay check him out if they have not already. It could be a clue that helps lead to the seller. A couple of years ago, Ebay used to let us see other users Email adresses. It helped a person investigate these type of things. But now one must rely on Ebay SafeHarbour to figure it out.
If I can be of more asistance, please let em know.

Thank you, Mark! I have contacted supercoupe84 a few weeks ago. He stated that he was in the same situation as me (the check being put in a 25 day bank hold). I don't know if this is the truth or not. I couldn't find that negative feedback though. By the way, as the final minute or so when my auction were to end, there was a "freshly-registered" person on Ebay that bid up my 'proxy-bid'. Thanks again, Mark! If you find anything else, feel free to PM me.

I have proposed to cthree that a new thread be started in "Market Place" where a list of links to threads like this can be kept for all S2Ki forum users to see.

My only thought would be to keep any contact with other sask members limited to here. There already is outside info that has come here in PM form and there is no reason other than the grapevine is already flourishing. This situation is to the point were the grapevine could hurt the outcome. Just my 2 cents.
