Been looking at some Alpine Type R or Boston Acoustics SL or SX series, would like to stay under $350 for the speakers and around tha same price for the amp.

Head unit is one of the best upgrades for your system, especially if you are going to upgrade the speakers. That's JMO, I'm sure not everyone will agree though

I'd say Best Buy or Visions for that price range.

You should also keep in mind that it will cost a bit more to install the tweeters since there are no factory tweeter mounts in an '00 S2000, unless you get the AP2 door panels.

Let me know which model you end up with since I am looking for something in the same range. So far, I am liking the infinity's and boston acoustics.

There are tweeter mounts in the MY02+ models.
