Default New Exhaust is installed!!

Well, I finally took the plunge and bought a new exhaust. After a lot of deliberation I went with the Tanabe Hyper Medallion...I'm sort of the guinea pig I guess. I am 50% happy (I really like the exhaust note) but I haven't warmed up to the look of it yet (perhaps the other 50% will grow on me). The tips are quite large and the thin wall makes them look bigger. Also, I wanted the tips to be sort of flush with the rear end (like the stock) so I have them cut aboput 1.5 inches off.

They look very nice. Can't wait to meet up with you to compare "notes".

Yes, very nice, looking forward to hearing different tones, I am tired of the stock drone =)

Looking good bud

When Dave mentioned that you were looking at the Tanabe, I had a vision of the mufflers which stick out at an acute angle from the rear of the car; quite displeasing really. Your's looks great...subtle yet purposeful at the same time. Tone aside, any noticeable difference from the "seat of the pants" dyno?

Have fun!

Thanks Guys...I wish I liked them as much as you...let's hope they grow on me. They aren't grapefruit launchers but I bet I could fit good sized oranges in them! It is hard to tell if there is any difference with my "butt dyno" partly because I had a new clutch put in this week as well...so everything feels new. But I do love the sound!
