Looks amazing. Very modern and futuristic. I hate to see what traffic will be like downtown after a game, though!

Incorrect my friend.

The current framework/deal has 'ceased negotiations', the arena is still very much going to happen in my opinion.

Options:

1. New deal with Katz
2. Katz builds it himself
3. City build it themselves
4. City partners with someone else with a rental to Katz

Unfortunate, but very far from 'GONE'.

I'm glad the city council stood up to him. I'm sick of governments catering to billionaires, spending OUR money frivolously. I'd love to see Katz move the team to Seattle and lose a ton of money. There's a reason they couldn't support an NBA franchise AND an NFL franchise simultaneously.

The city called his bluff. Even if he leaves, I'm okay with it. We have better ways to spend our money in this city.

I really don't think Katz will move the team. Probably in a little while, the parties will see some sense, have a sit down and figure it out. The Oilers are an intrinsic part of Edmonton. On the other side of it, the Oilers would not be as (commercially) successful if they were located elsewhere.
