I was lucky enough to see a Saab Sonett II last week, in the Strathearn area.

Pretty rare car, and as everyone knows from my screen name, part of my 'alma mater'. I've been lucky enough to have gotten rides in a Sonett III and also a Saab 96 V4 too, very cool, old cars.

^ you should check out my wife's car.. it's an 04 Saabaru in its truest sense.

'04 Subaru Impreza 2.5ts with a rear hatch, lights, and bumper grafted from a 9-2x.

Probably the only one in existence...

Trippy, why did you guys do that?

I thought about picking up a 9-2X Aero before I picked up the Avant. For sure it would be a fun car, but not a lot of cargo room. Hell, the Avant isn't as good as I'd like - my old Volvo was superior in that regard - but it'll have to suffice.

Part of the desire to get an Aero is that I'd be able to use my old SAAB0TR plate again! But then I know I'd be down that modification path again too - just too tempting with all the available aftermarket stuff available for Subarus. I'm having a hard enough time restraining myself with mods for the Audi! Thank goodness it came chipped already...

She has a knack for backing into things.. so rather than spending $3k at a body shop, we found a written off Saab 9-2x and did a weekend swap for $450.

Saw a brand new, black Audi RS5 at the Save-on on Wye this evening. What a gorgeous car, perfect stance, fantastically lovely wheels, fancy-schmancy brakes. If only the motor could be a torque monster like the AMG M156 6.3...

Update with a photo. What a lovely looking car:

On our way to Vancouver, saw a black, wingless C63 Black Series on Highway 1 outside Revelstoke. Looks much better wingless I think. Very aggressive front end, the wide body is awesome. First one I've seen in the metal I think...

Saw a guy driving a burgundy coloured 911 (993 model) on 101 Street / Baseline today. Poor thing.

One of our clients drives his Mercedes SL500 (or was it an SL550?) year round, so I guess it's not unheard of.
