power steering fluid...corrosive?
Is power steering fluid corrosive to paint?
I was changing out the power steering fluid on my civic and my S was parked next to it in the garage. At one point, I didn't know what to expect. All of a sudden, the PS fluid squirted out to the direction of my S after I took out the return hose. A splash of fluid on the front fender and on the wheel and tire of my S. I quickly use a wet chamois to dab.
Hopefully, I won't wake up tomorrow and see discolouration on the S?

I think you'll be fine. It's petroleum distillate, so it will remove wax and polish, so re-apply your wax (or polish). It's not quite like brake fluid that will remove paint. On those bottles, it is written to keep away from car finishes. In any case, you were wise to wet it and wipe it up.
