Any idea how they know if you were a resident as of Sept 1? Hypothetically someone could have filed a 2004 return in AB but moved later in the year (and had Canada Post forward their mail to a new address)....just curious.

You need to provide proof of address. Lease or rental agreement, home purchase contract, etc.

Each adult gets one and the kids' goes to the primary caregiver (usually the mother).
